Yesterday night, the United Kingdom voted in a referendum to leave the European Union. German Conservative MEP Markus Ferber (EPP) explained:
“When calling for a referendum about the UKâ¤(TM)s EU membership, David Cameron deliberately decided to play with fire. And if you play with fire, you might get burnt. This is what happened with last nightâ¤(TM)s referendum. The UK will now have to leave the European Union and will not receive any special treatment in the process. There will be no cherry-picking whatsoever. At the end of that process, the UK will be a third country like any other. Leaving is what the UK voted for and leaving is what the UK will get.â¤
